LABORATORY

Artyom Pys' has been born in 1990 in Maykop city, Adygea Republic, Russia, in a family of musocians. Between 2006 and 2010, he studied Music Theory and Brass Instruments (trombone) in Adygea's Republic College of Arts named after U.H. Tkhabisimov. During this study period, he became a winner of interregional and federal Russian music contests and competitions 11 times, visiting the cities: Rostov-on-Don, Astrakhan', Krasnodar, Stavropol', Saratov, Tambov. In 2008, he became a winner in Russian Federal Music Contest and earned a grant "Young Talents of Russia" from Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation (Moscow).

 In 2010, he got enrolled in Moscow State Conservatorium named after P.I. Tschaikovsky at composition department, to the class of Professor A.A. Koblyakov, and successfully graduated it in 2015. His teachers in Conservatorium were: F.K. Karayev, Y.S. Kasparov (instrumentation), Y.V. Vorontsov, A.S. Syumak (music form), E.S. Karpinskaya, A.V. Samonov (piano), V.N. Kholopova, M.S. Wysotskaya, S.I. Savenko (music history). Currently, Artyom Pys' is enrolled on Ph.D. degree program of Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tschaikovsky (his research supervisor is merited master of the arts, Doctor of Arts Criticism, Prof. A.S. Sokolov). At the moment, Artyom is writing his dissertation monography about Russia's pilot research on the phenomenon of Greek composer Yani Christou.

Artem Pys' is a winner of International music piano contest-festival «l’etoiles de Paris» (Paris, 2013)

Winner of XII th Festival of artistic creativity of the teachers of Moscow in the nomination of "Master-virtuous" (2014)

Winner of Moscow Government Reward in nomination of "The best young specialist in cultural industry" (Moscow, 2014) .

He is a member of Moscow Composers Union (since 2017), member of Youth Branch of Composers Union of Russia (MolOT, since 2011), author of over 30 compositions in various genres and stylistic formats - from operas up to avantgard compositions, easy-listening songs and jazz-rock compositions.

Regular participant of composer qualification upgrade courses of the Composers Union of Russian Federation in Ruza (2010, 2011), Bitsa (2011); participant of international music festivals   - “Fin de siècle”(St. Petersburg, 2012), International Festival of Contemporary Music «Moscow Forum»(Moscow, 2011), festival named "From avangard up to current time" (Moscow, 2012), «Ist International MolOT Festival (Armenia, Yerevan, 2013)», 3rd international folclore festival «Pro-Ethno»(Komi Republic, Syktyvkar, 2015),   XXIX International festival of contemporary arts named after N. Roslavets and N. Gabo (Bryansk, 2016).

As a composer, Artyom Pys' cooperates with "Modern MusicStudio" ensemble, Modern Music Association (MMA), Youth Branch of Composers Union of Russia (MolOT), vocal ensemble "Lady Voc" and folclore ensemble "NovinA".
